What is your business?
We are a small Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling firm specializing in working with injured workers who are eligible for worker’s compensation through Washington’s Department of Labor and Industries.
What is your website?
www.vocationalvistas.com – Currently a work in progress.
How long have you been in business?
Just over one year. We have a combined 40 years of experience in the field.
What do you love most about the work you do?
The opportunity and flexibility to work out of the office, meeting with a diverse clientele, learning about what other people do for a living.
Who is your favorite client?
A motivated self-advocate who approaches our services as an opportunity to receive assistance in returning to the workforce.
Why do you co-work?
Working in a field that allows for the flexibility of working in a traditional office, out of a home office, from a coffee shop, or just about where and whenever has given me a perspective on the positives and negatives of work in an isolative environment versus a more social environment. Co-working can provide a great work atmosphere, and simply being around other productive people can increase your own productivity. I prefer this kind of a work environment to working from home, and it helps me appreciate my time off work and at home that much more.
